Collaboration Desks Offer Flip-Top Device Storage

SmartDesks has launched the Quint Collaboration Tables, a new line of classroom desks designed to support collaborative learning spaces.

The Quint Collaboration Tables—referred to as Quints—feature five-sided tops that can be arranged in a number of configurations, including rows, on-facing clusters of two, three, or four tops, U shapes, circles, and panels. The tables are available with floor glides or locking casters as well as fixed and adjustable height options.

Quint also offers the iPad flipIT—or fPad—option, "a lockable storage device that flips open to display the iPad," according to a company statement. Users can position the iPad in landscape or portrait orientation, adjust screen angle, connect to power source, and use the device's FaceTime camera. A home button block out tab allows teachers to prevent students from switching apps when using the device during class time.

SmartDesk iDrawers can be installed with the Quints to offer additional storage for tablets and other small devices. The lockable storage drawer comes with USB and 110VAC power sources as well as vents to prevent overheating. Foam pads provide additional protection for stored devices.
