Free Online Workshop Addresses Accessibility in the Curriculum

In support of National Disability Awareness Month, Atomic Leaning has launched a free online workshop focused on accessibility in education.

The workshop, "Accessibility: It Is Important," focuses on the basics of accessibility and the use of accessible learning materials. Topic to be covered include:

  • How to check materials for accessibility;
  • How to create accessible materials, including presentations and online materials;
  • How to caption movies;
  • Understanding different disabilities; and
  • Legal and ethical requirements for accessible learning materials.

The workshop is fee through Dec. 15. Additional details can be found on Atomic Learning's site.
