New Collaboration Aims To Streamline College-Level Lab Work

College students and faculty can now use Vernier's Logger Pro software to export data directly to LabArchives' electronic laboratory notebook (ELN).

In a new partnership between Vernier and LabArchives, students who once had to save files they retrieved using Vernier's data-collection and analysis software and then manually upload it to their ELNs will be able to skip a step.

Logger Pro uses more than 80 Vernier sensors to accumulate relevant data for students and teachers. Lab Archives' cloud-based ELN allows students and professors to manage, monitor and evaluate student work with intuitive technology that eliminates the need for paper notebooks in lab courses.

"Logger Pro's new functionality with LabArchives further supports the use of electronic laboratory notebooks by simplifying the data-collection process, saving students time and facilitating collaboration during college-level labs," said Vernier Co-Founder David Vernier, a former physics teacher.

As part of the streamlining process, students can now open Logger Pro directly from LabArchives ELN. The new Logger Pro function for LabArchives is available for free to users of both Windows and Macs.
