MindTap Integrates Virtual Machine Labs for IT Students

MindTap, an online learning platform from Cengage Learning, has integrated “virtual machine labs” in an effort to prepare students to succeed in computer and information technology careers.

Practice Labs, an online virtual lab platform hosted in the cloud, is now directly integrated within MindTap, allowing students “to work with live servers and networking hardware from their web browser without leaving the MindTap platform,” according to a prepared statement. “This hands-on practice helps students develop and master skills that are immediately transferable to the workforce.”

MindTap offers nearly 1,000 courses, which can be accessed online via mobile devices (the app is available on the Apple Store and Google Play).
