Cornell To Offer Journal Articles Through Emerging Markets Research Portal
Cornell University's Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management will offer journal articles through its Emerging Markets Institute. The institute provides private forum for discussion between researchers and corporate leaders in developed and developing markets.
The institute's portal, which runs on Thompson Reuters' Web of Science article database, will use Reprints Desk's Article Galaxy platform for document retrieval and delivery. (Reprints Desk is a subsidiary of Research Solutions.) The move will allow "the Institute's corporate partners to order articles from a database of emerging markets research," according to Research Solutions.
Article Galaxy is designed to deliver research articles and handle copyright clearance in cases where users do not have subscriptions to the publications in which the materials appear. It provides content workflow, fulfillment, collection management, compliance management, reprints and permissions, DRM, print on demand and related services.
"We have not seen this tool offered by any other peer institution to the private sector. We believe this is a unique benefit not matched anywhere else," said Richard J. Coyle, executive director of the Emerging Markets Institute, in a prepared statement.
