Graduate School Moves Data to Cloud ERP and SIS

A stand-alone graduate school for educators in New York City is updating its business operations by shifting to new cloud-based enterprise resource planning (ERP) and student information systems. Relay Graduate School of Education is working with Unit4 to make the transition to the company's Business World On! ERP and Student Management applications.

Besides delivering training to teachers in New York, the school is also running a number of residency programs in places such as Chicago and Baton Rouge, which integrate master's courses with immersive classroom experiences in local schools under mentor teachers. Relay was spun off from Hunter College's teacher education program in 2011 to specialize in preparing teachers for urban, high-needs schools.

Relay expects replace several legacy systems in use and consolidate data to create a single-cloud-based instance of the data to deliver to students, faculty and staff in appropriate ways.

"As a growing graduate school of education, we recognized the need for modern back-office software that could better meet our evolving needs and user expectations," said Edmund O'Neill, director of products at the school. "Relay GSE will provide our users — from applicant to alumnus, from staff to faculty — a modern and integrated system that brings all functions of the student lifecycle together into one mobile-first solution."
