DyKnow To Add Blackboard Integration

##AUTHORSPLIT##<--->

Education technology provider DyKnow said it will be adding integration to Blackboard's course management system with the next release of it DyKnow Vision and DyKnow Monitor software, slated for release in May.

DyKnow Vision is a tool for collaborative note taking, student response, and content access. DyKnow Monitor is a system for wireless networks that allows instructors to block applications from running on students' computers and blank out student screens when the instructor doesn't want the student to be distracted. It displays a thumbnail of each student's screen on the instructor's monitor, providing control over the student's computers.

The new versions of DyKnow Vision and DyKnow Monitor--both of which will be bumped up to version 5.0--will allow students to sign on using credentials checked against the Blackboard Learning System server. Information from the Blackboard system will then be used to synchronize data, such as student ID, course enrollments, and student names, between the Blackboard server and the DyKnow server.

The new versions are scheduled for release in May. Previews are available on DyKnow's site.
