Cognos Launches Enrollment and Tuition Planning Blueprint

Business Intelligence and performance management provider Cognos has launched a new higher ed performance management solution called Enrollment and Tuition Planning Blueprint.

Cognos Enrollment and Tuition Planning Blueprint is based around the Cognos 8 Planning and Cognos 8 Business Intelligence solutions and is designed to provide a framework for performance management on a single platform to analyze tuition revenues, forecast enrollment, and plan for future growth. It;s also designed to help evaluate the effectiveness of recruiting efforts and meet regulatory requirements.

"Our experience of using the Cognos Planning and Business Intelligence tools has been an overwhelmingly positive one. The Cognos Planning tools have reduced the effort required to complete the student planning process, while providing a more flexible and accurate planning model," said Des Butcher, team leader, Corporate Services, Information Systems at the University of Warwick, in a statement released last week. "The partnership with the Cognos Innovation Center has been mutually beneficial, allowing us to partner with their experts in the CPM area, while sharing our knowledge of the higher education environment. The resulting Blueprint gives us a solid foundation from which to extend our student planning model and achieve further benefits."
