Quantrix Builds Higher Ed Models To Analyze Student Enrollment

Quantrix, which sells modeling and analysis tools for a number of industries, recently launched Enrollment Insights for higher education. This set of customizable planning models provides numeric information about student enrollment for use in budgeting and strategic planning.

The models are created with and require Quantrix Modeler, the company's flagship product, and include versions specifically for community colleges and private institutions.

According to the company, the new release features:

  • Multidimensional models that encompass data such as transfer assumptions, intake planning, student population, intake growth assumptions, retention rates, credit hour assumptions, and student type assumptions;
  • What-if scenarios that include enrollment drivers that change over time, changes in academic demands, changes in expected assistance, inflation assumptions, and sensitivity of key drivers to outputs; and
  • Data analysis tools that include interactive dashboards, customized reports, and trend and exception analysis charting.

The product comes with onsite or online training.

"Student enrollment models are crucial to the budgeting and planning process, as they impact every aspect of higher-education budgets, from faculty, to capital expenditures, to revenue. It's vital to get these models right," said Chris Houle, CEO. "With Enrollment Insights, Quantrix has done the ground work so that higher-education planners can plug in their numbers and start getting the insight they need."

Customers of Quantrix Modeler include the University of New Hampshire in Durham; Education Corporation of America, which runs Virginia College; and National University of Singapore.
