Epson Ships Interactive Projector Bundle

Epson has launched a new presentation bundle built around its high-end BrightLink 455Wi interactive projector. The bundle, called the BrightLink 455Wi-T, couples the 455Wi with a Copernicus Education table mount and an optional RM Easiteach license.

The BrightLink 455Wi is an ultra-short-throw LCD projector, which, when using the Copernicus table mount, is capable of producing an 60-inch image (diagonal) to turn a table surface into a large interactive workspace from less than 10 inches from the surf

The projector itself offers a native WXGA resolution (1,280 x 800 pixels) and a brightness of 2,500 lumens. It also includes two digital IR pens and pen tray for interacting with projected images.

Other features include:

  • Built-in closed captioning decoder;
  • Microphone input and 12 watt speaker;
  • RJ-45 for Ethernet-based LAN connectivity, providing remote control and monitoring; and
  • EasyMP Monitor software for broadcasting alerts.

The BrightLink 455Wi-T is available now for $1,699 through Epson's Brighter Futures program for education or $2,199 retail.

A version of the bundle that includes RM Easiteach is available for $1,799. RM Easiteach is a classroom software suite that's designed to serve as a single platform integrating functionality between whiteboards, classroom clickers (interactive polling devices), and other technologies. It's designed for a variety of grade levels and can be used to create both lessons and activities, and it includes pre-designed content packs covering math, English/language arts, science, and geography. It also allows for existing lessons to be adapted from Excel, Word, and Power Point, as well as video files.

Further information can be found on the BrightLink site.
