U Kansas Boosts Workflow Efficiency

The University of Kansas has decided to deploy Perceptive Software workflow management solutions—currently only used by a handful of business units—across its campus.

KU's phased expansion is designed to enhance the efficiency of its business processes. The university will begin with updates to eight core processes among seven business units, including the Comptroller’s Office where Brainware will be installed to streamline invoice processing.

The move is part of the KU's ongoing efficiency initiative, Changing for Excellence. The university is working with Huron Consulting to eliminate inefficient systems and processes. The Chicago, IL-based consulting firm identified a number of areas in which the university could bolster financial and efficiency savings in its administrative processes.

"We will capitalize on the efficiencies created by partnering with Perceptive Software," says KU CIO Bob Lim. "The solutions they provide will save student and staff time, which ultimately saves money for the university."
