Adobe Connect Mobile 2.1 Expands Virtual Classroom Support

Adobe has released Connect Mobile 2.1, an update to the conferencing and collaboration tool for iOS and Android.

Adobe Connect Mobile is an app that allows Connect users to access and participate in Connect presentations online through their iPhones, iPads, and Android tablets and phones.

The new release adds the ability to view two live webcams simultaneously, as well as an unlimited number of paused webcams, along with two-way videoconferencing. It also offers expanded support for Adobe Presenter virtual classrooms, including quiz tracking. As Adobe described it, it now offers the ability to "deliver, interact, and track Adobe Presenter training content in virtual classrooms, allowing organizations and institutions to offer certifications and online testing."

Other new features include:

  • Optimization in the iOS version for iPad mini and iPhone 5;
  • Expanded branding support with the ability to view background imagery;
  • Support for launching Captivate, Presenter, and MP4 media on an iPad;
  • Automatic reconnection following a disconnect;
  • Improved login; and
  • Various bug fixes.

Connect Mobile 2.1 is available now as a free download for iOS in the iTunes Store and for Android 2.1 or later in the Google Play Store.
