Collaaj Launches Video Platform for Education

Collaaj, a provider of enterprise video solutions, has launched an education-specific version of its video platform designed to help instructors using a flipped classroom model.

Available for Windows, Mac OS X and iOS, Collaaj allows users to create videos using a camera, audio files, drawings and screen captures that "can easily be edited with a few button clicks and published to the Collaaj server, on-premise or on the cloud," according to a news release. Videos can be shared with a secure URL or embedded in a learning management system.

"At the EduCause annual conference in Anaheim last October, we had the chance to discuss our platform with many interested university IT leaders and faculty," said Kiran Kamity, founder and CEO of Collaaj, in a prepared statement. "It was clear that the product needed to be tailored a bit more to suit the education market. We are very pleased to now be releasing the 'Education' version, and already have several customers that have signed up."

A free 14-day trial of the platform is available at collaaj.com. Licenses for five users, with 5 GB of storage and 10 GB of bandwidth per month for each user, are available for $25 per month. Volume, pay-per-use and on-premise deployments are also available.
