Mobile platform provider Campus Quad has launched Campus Quad Engage, a student engagement analytics dashboard for higher education. The graphical, location-based dashboard provides administrators with real-time, actionable data measuring the utilization and effectiveness of student services and resources, according to the company.

Launched in fall 2013, the Campus Quad platform enables student-to-student and student-to-university communication and connects students to campus resources and services. The new analytics component allows administrators and faculty to submit ad hoc queries from any computer, iOS or Android mobile device to track and evaluate student engagement as it relates to program discovery, participation, engagement and learning outcomes. The dashboard presents data in a visual panel that highlights trending student conversations, hotspot locations of student services usage, student engagement metrics, leading content contributors and an overall engagement score depicting student participation.

"Student Affairs professionals absolutely need to implement new tools to measure student learning on campus," said Thomas Black, associate vice provost of student affairs and university registrar at Stanford University, in a prepared statement. "While analytics may be today's buzzword, the collection and evaluation of data is critical to creating rich learning opportunities for students. Delivering that data to frontline practitioners to analyze stakeholder satisfaction, assess communication strategies, and measure achievement of program objectives is even more powerful."

The Campus Quad Engage dashboard is available now to colleges and universities across the U.S. using the Campus Quad mobile communication app and platform. For more information, visit the Campus Quad site.
