Cornell Taps Blackboard Internet2 NET+ Package for Learning, Analytics and Content

Cornell University is rolling out Blackboard's Internet2 NET+ learning, analytics and content offering, a suite of tools the institution helped create as a member of the Internet2 community. The university will also tap Blackboard's educational services, including technology adoption training and managed hosting deployment.

The NET+ package features an online and mobile version of Blackboard's learning management system and collaboration environment; the company's xpLor cloud-delivered open content repository, which allows for the collaborative development of course materials across institutions and standards-compliant LMSes; and analytics tools that aggregate data on student behavior to help improve curriculums, programs and policies.

In addition, the NET+ offering allows Blackboard to collaborate with the Internet2 community to research the effective use of analytics; collaborative development of open educational resources; and secure, flexible identity management.
