Echo360 and Cengage Learning to Combine Course Materials With Engagement Tools

Echo360 and Cengage Learning are collaborating to combine textbooks and digital instructional materials with student engagement tools for the classroom.  

The partnership means that faculty using Cengage Learning course materials will gain free access to Echo360 tools, such as polls, quizzes, discussions and online chats. Students can use the technology to ask questions anonymously in class; take notes that are aligned with lectures and other content; as well as interact with instructors and peers anytime, anywhere. In addition, faculty can access analytics to identify at-risk students and measure learning outcomes.

"Student access to instructional materials is critical to success, and we believe that the lecture represents the most important instructional materials for any course," said Fred Singer, CEO of Echo360, in a press release. "Our partnership with Cengage Learning provides students with the real-time tools that make it easier for them to interact with faculty during and beyond class."
