IT Rollout to Support Guided Pathways Program and More at Chaffey College

California's Chaffey College is pairing an ERP move to the cloud with a constituent relationship management and analytics rollout to streamline IT processes, enhance business continuity and support a new guided pathways program. The institution is working with Ellucian to implement Ellucian Colleague, Ellucian CRM Advise and Ellucian Analytics as part of a strategic alignment plan.

"This change in technology is a very strategic move for Chaffey College," said Melanie Siddiqi, vice president of administrative affairs for the college, in a statement. "The cloud solution is cost effective and will allow us to serve our campus community more efficiently and effectively."

Managed by Ellucian, Chaffey's new cloud environment will provide easy access to the most current application releases, as well as meet availability, security, disaster recovery and business continuity needs — without spending IT dollars on backend infrastructure, according to a news announcement.

For Chaffey's guided pathways program, Ellucian CRM Advise will provide visibility into student performance and support the college's efforts to increase student engagement, retention and completion rates, the announcement said. With Ellucian Analytics, Chaffey will be able to measure students' progress toward degree completion and glean data for strategic decision-making across the institution. In addition, the college will continue using Ellucian Colleague Student Planning and Ellucian Elevate, products designed to "help students maximize their time on campus and optimize use of … community education courses."

"Working together with this long-time customer to move the cloud is especially rewarding since it further enables the institution to capitalize on innovations such as its planned guided pathways program," commented Ellucian President and CEO Laura Ipsen. "Chaffey's new cloud solutions will serve as the foundation for student success creating personalized, targeted pathways for their ultimate success."
