An ongoing pandemic, enrollment declines, inflation, federal regulations and evolving learning models are just a few of the variables disrupting higher education in the coming year. In this session, analyst Richard Garrett will outline trends to watch in 2022 and how they might impact digital efforts on campus.

Building a Culture of Innovation on Campus
Digital transformation is not just about implementing new technologies — it's also about people and the ability to embrace change. In this session, a panel of higher education leaders will discuss how they are working to transform institutional culture, incubate new ideas, support collaboration and experimentation, and more, all in the service of teaching and learning.

Tech Tools for Student Wellness and Holistic Support
It's clear that mental health is a critical element of student success in higher education, and the COVID-19 pandemic has further thrust the issue of wellness into the spotlight. To better support students, The Ohio State University launched a wellness app that offers tools and resources in an easily accessible format — and made sure students were directly involved in the design, development and ongoing improvement of the app. In this session, Ohio State will share its experience, the importance of a student-centric approach and lessons learned from the project.

How Federal Funding Can Jumpstart Digital Transformation Efforts
From COVID relief funds to the Infrastructure Bill, a number of grants are available to help higher education institutions tackle their biggest challenges. But navigating the ins and outs of that funding process can be difficult. In this session, grant expert Dana Satterwhite will provide an overview of current federal funding opportunities, share best practices for securing those dollars and tracking funding efforts, explain what categories of spend are eligible, and more.
