Cybrary Launches Online Platform for IT Education

Cybrary has launched an online platform designed to help higher ed and K-12 teachers plan manage and monitor IT and cybersecurity curricula.

The platform allows instructors to create lists of customizable classes or specific topics, such as introductory cryptography, subnetting and Ethical Hacking Essentials. "Schools can then list particular teachers or professors and each can list out training objectives by class or groups," according to a news release. "Educators can generate reports on which students have completed which lessons within the objectives."

Use of the platform is free for up to 20 students and costs $2,500 per year for up to 1,000 students. Plans for as many as 5,000 students and unlimited plans are also available, at $8,000 and $10,000 per year, respectively. The paid plans also include course assessments, progress reporting and certificates of completion.

"By eliminating financial barriers to IT and cyber security training, anyone can learn from and engage with the IT community," said Ralph P. Sita, Jr., co-founder of Cybrary, in a prepared statement. "We're confident our approach will ultimately reshape IT and cybersecurity training and welcome new minds into the profession, leading to a brighter future for the industry as a whole."
