Ricoh Rolls Out 12,000-Lumen HD Auditorium Projector
At the InfoComm 2016 conference taking place this week in Las Vegas, Ricoh is debuting several new projectors, including a pico projector, two short-throw projectors and a 12,000-lumen auditorium projector that has a native resolution of 1,920 x 1,200.
The KU12000 is an installation projector designed for auditoriums and other large venues. The dual-lamp DLP model offers WUXGA (1920x1200) resolution, 12,000-lumen light output and a 5,000:1 contrast ratio. Features include:
- Six optional lenses;
- Projection up to 500 inches;
- Edge blending;
- HDBase-T support;
- WAN/LAN connectivity.
It runs $18,869. Further details weren’t available at press time.
Also new at InfoComm are two short-throw projectors, the PJ XL4540 and WXL4540. Both are lamp-free, using a laser light source with a 10,000-hour expected life. The XL4540 ($2,029) offers XGA (1,024 x 768) resolution, while the WXL4540 ($2,279) offers WXGA (1,280 x 800) resolution.
Finally, Ricoh is also unveiling the PJ WXC1110, a pico projector that, with its LED light source, is expected to have a life of up to 20,000 hours. It will be available for $859.
The PJ XL4540, WXL4540 and KU12000 are expected to be available immediately, though at press time they were not listed on Ricoh’s USA site. The PJ WXC1110 is expected later this month.
