SmarterMeasure Assessment Platform Adds Competency Ed Tools

SmarterServices is updating its content-agnostic assessment platform, SmarterMeasure, to include a competency-based education (CBE) readiness indicator.

Users will also be able "to author custom assessments to be hosted from within the web-based SmarterMeasure assessment engine," according to a news release. "This new capability empowers customers to leverage SmarterMeasure insights and assessments, but also to yield and collect exact data tailored to their precise needs with assessments of their own design."

"We have heeded higher education's call for change with CBE programs through this expansion of the SmarterMeasure engine," said Mac Adkins, CEO and founder of SmarterServices, in a prepared statement. "Since demonstration of mastery via assessment is an integral part of CBE programs, it is imperative that the assessments be robust, valid, reliable and administered in a controlled environment."
