Macmillan Learning and Chegg Partner for Textbook Rentals

Macmillan Learning textbooks will now be available through a rental-only model, thanks to a partnership with Chegg. Beginning this fall, students will be able to access select Macmillan Learning titles through the lower-cost rental option, saving up to 55 percent off of the cost of purchasing a new textbook, according to a news release. Students can rent both print and digital books through the program.

"Creating high-quality course materials is only part of the equation," commented Macmillan Learning CEO Ken Michaels in a statement. "We have to make sure we are getting the materials in students' hands so that they can thrive and achieve academic success. Together, with Chegg, we are lowering the barriers to learning success by increasing access and inclusiveness."

"This service provides students affordable options — which we believe students today need more than ever. Through this partnership, we are able to offer better pricing for new editions of textbooks, increasing the savings for students," said Nathan Schultz, chief learning officer for Chegg.
