Cal State U Signs Systemwide Partnership with InsideTrack to Support Enrollment and Retention

California State University's 23 campuses now can access a range of recruitment and retention services to boost student success. The institution has partnered with InsideTrack to provide coaching, consulting, training, analytical and technological services systemwide through a three-year Master Enabling Agreement.

InsideTrack first began working with Cal State Monterey Bay in 2007 "to increase persistence for low-income, first-generation and minority students, resulting in double-digit gains across the board," according to the company. In the subsequent 10 years, the company has worked with Cal Poly Pomona, CSU Channel Islands, CSU Dominguez Hills and other CSU campuses to design and operate student success programs.

"Many of today's students are adding education to already busy lives, filled with work, family and other obligations," said Gary Berg, associate vice president for academic affairs and dean of extended university at California State University Channel Islands, in a statement. "Working with InsideTrack greatly enhances our ability to support these students in making informed enrollment decisions and building the skills they need to succeed in school and in life."

"The California State University is leading the way in providing personalized support to an increasingly diverse array of students," said Gerry Hanley, CSU's assistant vice chancellor, academic technology services. "We've enjoyed partnering with InsideTrack for many years and are excited to streamline collaboration between InsideTrack and our campuses, so we can enhance and expand our enrollment processes for our campuses' Cal State Online programs and ensure that all CSU students graduate prepared for career success."

"The CSU is one of the finest educational systems in the country and we're proud to be expanding our partnership in such a meaningful way," commented Kai Drekmeier, president and founder of InsideTrack. "As an organization with deep roots working with California's public higher education system, we believe in the mission of the CSU and share their conviction that innovative approaches to student support can help more deserving students not only access higher education, but also realize their potential as learners and college graduates with fulfilling career options."
