Epson Expands BrightLink Line with New Models Offering 5,000 Lumens and Ultra Widescreen Display

New Epson BrightLink Projectors Offer 5,000 Lumens and Ultra Widescreen Display

Epson has introduced two new models in its BrightLink line of interactive laser projectors for education.

Both of the new ultra-short-throw models (the BrightLink 1485Fi and 1480Fi) offer 1080p resolution, a contrast ratio of 2,500,000:1 and a brightness of 5,000 lumens. In addition, the 1485Fi offers the ability to display at a 16:6 aspect ration, with an interactive display width of up to 120 inches. (In 16:9 mode, the maximum interactive width is 100 inches.)

Other features include:

  • 20,000-hour laser light source;

  • Automatic image adjustment and simplified touch calibration;

  • Digital whiteboarding;

  • Touch and pen-enabled interactivity for up to eight simultaneous users;

  • HDBaseT;

  • Built-in wireless (802.11 b/g/n/ac);

  • Three HDMI ports, component video, composite video, three mini audio in ports, one mini audio out, microphone in, RJ-45, two USB-A and two USB-B ports, RS-232c, computer video out and interactive synchronization audio ports in and out;

  • One-year subscription to the SMART Learning Suite.

The BrightLink 1485Fi is available now for $2,850, while the BrightLink 1480Fi will be available in March. For more information, visit Epson’s BrightLink for Education portal.
